Franco has a strong international perspective, and over 20 years experience in the chemical industry.

After graduating in Economics and Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan, he joined EniChem in 1995.

Over the course of his career, he has held several leadership roles. Before being named in his current position, Franco served as Executive Vice President of International Development and Licensing at Versalis since November 2016, prior to that he hold the position of Vice President of Corporate Planning and Control, contributing to the definition and implementation of the Versalis turnaround plan. His career highlights include serving 5 years as the Finance Manager of Polimeri Europa, where he has consolidated his experience in finance, insurance and credit management.

He also serves in the Board of Directors of several international companies.
