Transal Shipping started operating vessels on 28 January 2005 during which time it was chartering vessels to transport cargo for one of the Altinbas Holdings' companies, Alpet. The fleet has since increased by adding oil/chemical tankers in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 to the 5 existing oil tankers. Transal can deliver ship operation services to third parties as well. Services include independent Ship Safety Management (ISM), technical management and crew management.
