Chris Cain is a highly experienced professional with over three decades of experience in petrochemical manufacturing. He has spent most of his career with LyondellBasell, where he has worked in engineering, operational and site leadership, and other strategic leadership roles. Currently, he serves as the Senior Vice President, Net Zero Transition Strategy, focused on developing and executing the company’s global greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategy.
Prior to his current role, he was the Senior Vice President, Manufacturing within the Global Intermediates, Derivatives, and Refining strategic business unit. Over the course of his career, Chris has gained extensive experience in manufacturing at various locations across the U.S. He has worked at sites in Ohio, Iowa, Illinois and Texas, where he has been responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of these manufacturing sites. His leadership skills and expertise in manufacturing have played a key role in driving the success of these operations.
Apart from his professional career, Chris has also been actively involved in community leadership roles throughout his career. He has served in various roles in economic development and other local community support functions. This demonstrates his commitment to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on society.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marquette University.
