Cartagena Port Authority is a public body responsible for the management of the Port of Cartagena; significantly it is integrated into the state port system.
It is governed by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2011, of 5 September, which approves the Revised Text of the Law for State Ports and the Merchant Navy, and it manages, coordinates and controls the efficiency of the Port.
As an organization:
Its mission is to be the socio-economic tool for Cartagena and the Region of Murcia;
Its values are based on effective and sustainable management as an integrated services company, focused on meeting its customers’ needs.
Its future vision is focused on leading the traffic of Spanish ports for bulk cargo and for general cargo and cruise ships in south east Spain.
