Westchart AS is a marketing, chartering and operation company, commercially managing the chemical tankers owned by Westfal-Larsen & Co AS and Welco Eco Ship AS. The company is located at the Westfal-Larsen group head office in Bergen, Norway.

We are providing innovative transportation of chemicals in the safest and most reliable manner.
All our chemical tankers are modern – built between 2009 and 2016, zinc coated, medium-range sized vessels, each equipped with high capacity N2 plant featuring the latest onboard technical equipment.
CARGO SEGMENTS
Our ships are mainly trading in the commodity chemicals and petroleum product markets. Our management team and our crew onboard have excellent knowledge of handling a wide range of petrochemicals and petroleum products. The ships are particularly well suited for carrying methanol.
METHANOL
A milestone was reached in 2016 when Westfal-Larsen took delivery of the newbuildings Lindanger and Leikanger. These two ships are among the world’s first ocean going ships powered by a MAN 2-stroke engine, capable of running on methanol. This will efficiently reduce emissions of soot particulates, NOx, SOx and CO2. The ships represent our effort to adopt the latest and most advanced sustainable technology that benefits the environment in the long term.
