As Vice President of Procurement for Dow, Cathy Budd sets the corporate Procurement strategy and is responsible for the efficient and compliant execution of Dow’s $20B source to pay spend and $40B procure to pay processes. In addition, Cathy leads Dow’s Scope 3 carbon and supplier diversity initiatives in support of Dow’s ambition to be the most innovative, customer-centric, inclusive, and sustainable materials science company in the world.
Prior to this role, Cathy held a variety of supply chain leadership positions including business supply chain management of Dow’s Industrial Solutions, Home and Personal Care, and Building and Construction businesses. In addition, she transformed Dow’s digital supply chain landscape thru corporate-wide business planning and transportation visibility initiatives.
Cathy graduated from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering. She was a member of the Dow Kakok (DKK) board of directors in 2013-2014 and is currently a representative on the H Hotel Holding LLC member committee, a Midland/BayCity/Saginaw airport commissioner and Supervisory Board member of the Dow Benelux B.V. In addition to her leadership responsibilities inside and outside of Dow, Cathy is a member of Procurement 50.
