With a new Chair and Vice-Chairperson leading the EPCA Supply Chain Programme Committee (SCPC), 2025 has got off to an ambitious start. The group met in person in February to establish results-driven initiatives for 2025, emphasizing collaboration and innovation for the entire EPCA membership. Under the broad theme of how to ensure that supply chains in the petrochemical industry are more competitive, sustainable and efficient, three subgroups have been formed, focusing on intermodality, digitalisation and adaptability.
We are eager to continue building on this momentum throughout the coming year and will be sharing more information on the scope and focus of each subgroup in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the SCPC’s dedicated webpage for updates on their progress and how you can get involved: epca.eu/topic-supply-chain
EPCA’s Intermodal Transport Network got off to an exciting start as they convened in Brussels on 18 February 2025 for their second workshop. Industry leaders came together to discuss how to advance intermodality across Europe. Key takeaways include the importance of digitalization, regulatory support, and infrastructure investment to overcome adoption barriers and enhance sustainability.
